Completely redesigned by Kicco Bestetti, a Milanese architect renowned for his work in Milan, Paris and New York. He has transformed the venue into a warm and refined atmosphere, integrating the latest trends and concepts, into designer living spaces.
Over 600 persons gathered from Lebanon, France, Italy, Switzerland, the United States and Germany to take a journey through the ages: from classical to contemporary and from modern to design. Guests included, the Obegi Home brand representatives: Ralph Lauren, Giorgetti, Baker, Boffi, Matteo Grassi, Knoll, DeSede, Living Divani, Porro, Dibbern, Robbe & Berking, Kettal, Brand Van Egmond, Treca and Lema, who came to Lebanon specifically for this occasion. Also in attendance were, The Italian Ambassador and his wife, members of the media, artists, intellectuals, interior designers, architects and business personalities who roamed the three storey venue.
On the opening night, the Obegi showroom was brought to life, after being hidden behind the catchy dark purple façade for months. Inside, various actors were placed in different settings, mirroring the lifestyle provided by each uniquely arranged living space.
The overall atmosphere was not only pleasing to eyes but to all senses creating a harmonious setting. As guests entered, the melodic harmony of the saxophone, flute and guitar filled the air, creating a warm feeling throughout. The Ralph Lauren area which transcends the barriers between Art deco, contemporary and classical brought the ground floor of the showroom to life.
Ascending to the second floor, a gallery-style display of ornaments, tableware and fine porcelain were gazed at by the guests. Wandering around this floor, guests were able to step into the world of Treca Interiors beds mattresses and the new range of furniture, the functionality and confort of which was demonstrated. Also on this floor is the O Lab, dedicated meeting room overlooking the sea where architects, designers and homeowners can fruitfully discuss their project and choose from a wide selection of fabrics, materials and models.
A chef stationed in the generous Boffi kitchen area, prepared savory mini-bites for the attendees to indulge in as they continued their magical mystery tour through the last floor featuring modern and design furniture on an ideal home setup with Boffi kitchens, bathrooms, walk in closets, TV wall systems and various living arrangements.
Commenting on the newly renovated showroom and when questioned regarding Obegi’s growth despite the prevailing situation, Mr. Yordan Obegi, President of Obegi Home, stated: “When there is only gloom and doom in the news, Obegi Home wants to show the bright side of life to its customers.
