Dubai Lynx International Festival of Creativity uses OGLE to showcase its collection of award winners

United Arab Emirates: Thursday, May 16 - 2013 @ 11:04

Readers can delve deeper into the experience the event which is just one of the many benefits of Augmented Reality (AR) through OGLE.

You can actually see and hear the jurors talk about the work they judged – something that is difficult to achieve on a mass scale because of scale and time limitations.

With television, event coverage usually touches on the main highlights without getting into intimate details. Yet, it is the very details that creatives and clients alike are keen to hear straight from the jury themselves, without any loss in translation.

Since the release of Winners Brochure, OGLE has hosted over 100 videos, including 9 interviews and 4 hours of AR content cumulatively.

Dubai Lynx 2013 has already seen success from integration of this technology with the 3-day Festival earlier in March. Leading up to the event, a building banner in Media City showed the trailer via OGLE.

The cover of the Official Festival Programme featured a 3D version of the coveted award which could be view from different angles. Other activities included interaction with content on the Getty Images Wall and trying on different hairstyles from OGLE.

Emma Lancaster, Festival Director of Dubai Lynx is keen to continue with AR: “Dubai Lynx is delighted to partner with OGLE Augmented Reality to produce the first fully interactive Dubai Lynx Winners Brochure. The Film category is just one category that has fully come alive allowing readers the opportunity to view the winning clip rather than seeing a still image. We look forward to many more future collaborations.”

AR technology enables you to view ‘both the real world and the superimposed virtual object’ on the screen of your tablet or smartphone. OGLE provides magazines, newspapers, brochures and other printed mediums with an exceptional way to supplement the content with 3D models, animations and video thereby renewing the reading experience.
