Vehicular safety, safety features and technologies to be highlighted at Traffic Safety Expo 2012

The event will take place on the above mentioned dates from 10:00 am-1:00pm and 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm.

From the point of view of infrastructure, the Sultanate of Oman has kept its focus on restruction of its road network strong, with the evolvement of the $330m Muscat Expressway project, being touted as the biggest road venture in the GCC. In complimenting the development of these infrastructural wonders, drivers also need to keep up with the latest improvements in vehicular design and adopt the latest automobile safety features to ensure that Oman’s roads remain accident and risk free.

The need to promote the latest vehicle safety equipment and technology is necessary to reduce rash driving and secure a risk free driving environment. Besides Airbags, Seatbelts and Anti-lock brakes, some of the important safety features which every consumer should look for are ABS Tips, All Wheel Drive, Electronic Stability Control, Traction Control Systems, Daytime Running Lights, Blind Spot Detection Systems, Back-up Warning Systems, Forward Collision Warning with Automatic Braking, Lane Departure Warning, Rearview/Exterior cameras, Blue-tooth hands free etc.

Along with the customer’s need to keep himself aware and updated with the latest safety features and technologies, the role of automotive dealers should not be reviewed lightly.
