Winners for the 2nd Oman Customer Service Excellence Awards 2013 announced

Held under the patronage of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry and the Ministry of Tourism, the Awards Ceremony sponsored by ITON, was organised by OITE Conferences. The Awards ceremony received support from Omantel as Main Sponsor, Nawras as Telecom Sponsor, National Bank of Oman as Gold Sponsor and Times of Oman as Media Partner.

Mr. Nick Hodge, Managing Director, OITE addressed the attendees and briefed them on the importance and necessity of achieving excellence in customer service while Mr. Sadiq Ahmed Khan– B2B Events & Marketing, OITE introduced the audience to the jury presiding over the awards. The jury panel consisted of Ms. Sue Tappin, CEO, International Quality Solutions Oman; Dr. Ahmad Tahlak, President & Chairman, LEVENBERT, UAE; Mr. Caleb Chua, Principal Consultant, The Right Change, Singapore; and Ms. Ruthfield, CEO & Founding Partner, Joshua Group LLC, UAE.

Mr. Osama Faisal Al Jahadami, Director General of Consumer Services and Market, Public Authority for Consumer Protection (PACP); Mr. Ahmed Saleh Baabood, Executive Chairman, OITE; Mr. Yousuf Al-Naimi, General Manager, ITON and Mr. Ammar Talhouni, Director – Government Services presented the awards to the winners as follows. The Awards for : Customer Service Excellence in the Public Sector went to the Public Authority for Consumer Protection ; Excellence in Innovation for Customer Experience Management-Public Sector went to Muscat Municipality ; Excellence in Innovation for Customer Experience Management-Utilities Sector went to the Public Authority for Electricity & Water ; Excellence in Innovation for Customer Experience Management-Financial Sector went to Bank Muscat ; Excellence in Innovation for Customer Experience Management-Telecom Sector went to Omantel ; Customer Service Excellence in the Banking Sector went to Bank Nizwa ; Customer Service Excellence in the Retail Sector- Food went to Bin Mirza International ; Customer Service Excellence in the Retail Sector went to Lulu Hypermarket LLC ; Customer Service Excellence in the Hospitality & Tourism Sector went to Grand Hyatt Muscat ; Customer Service Excellence in the Telecom Sector-MVNO went to Friendi Mobile ; Customer Service Excellence in the Health care sector went to Muscat Private Hospital and the Customer Service Excellence in the Transport & Logistics Sector went to DHL Express.

The Jury Distinction Awards was presented to Nawras for Customer Service Excellence in the Telecom Sector and Suhail Bahwan Automobiles LLC for Customer Service Excellence in the Automobile Sector. Coming to a successful end, the Awards Ceremony was followed by dinner and networking.
