The LANscape® Pretium™ Solution range matches fibre optic cable, hardware and test equipment with high-level technical support and engineering services. The company behind it, Corning, sees a number of strong potential markets for the solution in the Middle East, particularly in the education and data centre sectors, working in partnership with the Middle East distributor, OnLine Distribution.
The number of data centres in the Middle East has effectively tripled in the past five years, driven by the expanding economies of the region and the increasing complexity of many companies’ operations.
Advanced fibre optic solutions are seen as critically important in helping these data centres manage increasing volumes of data at faster speeds, with greater efficiency.
“Fibre optic solutions like the LANscape Pretium range effectively provide the backbone for the modern communications revolution, enabling companies to deploy ever-more advanced network solutions and reduce the installation and management costs,” said Phani Lolla, product manager – Infrastructure Business Unit, OnLine Distribution.
“We’re delighted to premier this solution at GITEX, and strongly believe that it will draw an excellent response,” added Lolla.
Other advanced solutions on display from Corning include its advanced UniCam® Connector technology and a range of Universal Plug & Play Products for Data Centers.
Both solutions sets help speed the installation of fiber optic cabling systems and reduce the cost and difficulty of maintaining them.
Visitors to GITEX can see these products at N7-2, hall number 7.
