Through the promotion, customers topping up their accounts have received the standard free credit bonus that comes with Hala top-ups, and also a free bonus international SMS and minutes to use to call their loved ones and share Ramadan greetings.
The number of free bonus international minutes provided rises with the higher value of Hala top-ups, so that customers can get as many as 61 international call minutes to reach out to people anywhere in the world, any time.
Customers using direct top-ups get an amazing 61 minutes – more than an hour – of international talk-time. The promotion is valid for any top-up method, including scratch cards, e-vouchers and Self Service Machines.
The Hala offer complements Qtel’s Shahry Value Packs Ramadan offer, where customers can use their free call minutes on both international and local calls. Taken together, almost two million Hala customers now have access to free overseas calls as a Ramadan gift from Qtel. This offer began Friday, 21 August, and continues until the end of October.
In addition to the Ramadan promotion, Qatar’s most prominent prepaid mobile service gains its fame from top-up cards, making it an accessible prepaid service.
Furthermore, Hala customers enjoy a number of innovative services like Hala Collect Call, which was designed to complement the range of new mobile services launched by Qtel in 2008, including ‘Call Me Back,’ ‘Call Back Roaming’ and ‘My Services Menu.’ ‘
The Collect Call Service has been designed so that customers with low or zero credit can make direct voice contact with Hala or Shahry customers in Qatar. In particular, Qtel’s customer research showed that parents wanted a Collect Call service for their children, so that they can always call home when they need to, irrespective of their credit balance.
Qtel has launched a special Social Campaign for Ramadan, encouraging people to ‘Connect with Kind Words’ during the Holy Month.
The ‘Connect with Kind Words’ campaign encourages people to reach out to friends and family during Ramadan, and the special Hala and Shahry offerings are one of the ways that Qtel is supporting this.
