Qatar Media Services contributes to charity event in Paris

Qatar: Monday, December 10 - 2007 @ 16:10

The event, sponsored by Qatar Media Services, took place in one of Paris’ most famous museums “Le petit Palais”. Qatar Media Services was represented at the event by His Excellency Ambassador Saad Hilal Al Mohannadi, CEO of the Company.

Chanel, Elie Saab, Gucci and Louis Vuitton are just a few of the designers who have created one-of-a kind rag dolls for the Frimousses de Créateurs project. The Dolls were displayed at the Petit Palais until November 29 were they were auctioned. The money raised made it possible to vaccinate 50 million children around the world among which 20 thousand have already been vaccinated. This annual charity event helped raise 225000 Euros which will be entirely contributed to children in need.

On this occasion, Ambassador Saad Hilal Al Mohannadi expressed his joy: “Qatar is very keen on contributing to charity inside and outside its territory”, he said.

“We believe in our responsibility towards the international community, deprived children of the world and homeless families suffering from the realities of natural catastrophes. All of this is made possible thanks to the support of His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar, and His Highness the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamin Bin Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani and Her Highness Sheikha Moza Bint Nasser Al-Misnad, the consort of his Highness the Emir of Qatar and Her Highness Sheikha Al Mayassa Bint Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the chairperson of Reach Out To Asia (ROTA), a charity association that supports and contributes to such charity events,” Mr. Mohannadi added.

“Qatar Media Services, located in the heart of the Qatari capital, is honored to play such an important role especially that Qatar is always present to assist all those who need help. These Children have the right to live a decent life. They have the right to good health and an education. Thus, it is our duty to help them and take on the task that we are meant to achieve. Qatar will always be ready to help with every means all those who are seeking help,” said Mohannadi.
