Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) has concluded its participation at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2014, the leading travel event for the travel industry in the Middle East and North Africa region.
ATM took place at the Dubai International Convention Center in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) last week, showcasing a large number of strategic partners from Qatar’s travel and tourism industry. The event attracted more than 21,000 senior travel professionals, government officials and international media to discover the latest industry opinion and trends.
His Excellency Issa bin Mohammed Al Mohannadi, Chairman of QTA, said “Qatar Tourism Authority’s participation at this year’s ATM has been a great success. QTA led the largest ever Qatar delegation, which represents the country’s rapidly growing tourism sector and further highlights our commitment to the development of the sector.”
“The presence of the public and private sectors at international expositions such as this showcases the important role of both sectors in the development and promotion of tourism in Qatar. They must work together to put Qatar on the international tourism map and allow the world to discover what the country has to offer and the uniqueness of its culture and heritage. This is, after all, the mission of NTSS-2030”, added Al Mohannadi.
Led by QTA, a new state-of-the-art Qatar Pavilion, featuring distinctive and modern designs, presented the best of Qatar, positioning it as a tourist destination and a global hub for business, leisure, culture, education and sport tourism in the region. The pavilion successfully attracted visitors with a strong drive to hold buyer meetings and interact with counterparts in the regional and international tourism industry to showcase Qatar’s rich and diversified tourism offerings.
