Guests can drop off old or new clothes and toys when they visit the restaurant during Ramadan. These items will then be distributed to the underprivileged around the Middle East via a charity establishment.
The restaurant will be awarding a ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ to everyone who contributes towards the donation drive.
Derek Williams, Restaurant Manager, Rainforest Cafe said, “With the ‘Clothes and Toy drop’ initiative, we hope to make a lasting impression on children about the importance of Charity. As children get influenced by the actions of grown-ups around them, we strongly believe that our young patrons will understand and inculcate the humble habit of sharing with those in need.”
To support this campaign, get your family and friends, in particular children to participate by donating as a part of the Zakat al-Fitr charitable acts during the season. The donation booth is located at the Retail Village at the entrance of the restaurant. Children and Family members also have the option of buying toys from the Retail Village and dropping them off in the donation boxes.
