The Abu Dhabi location is the firm’s fourth office, adding to its headquarters in Denver and offices in Los Angeles and Phoenix, USA.
“This clearly demontrates RNL’s commitment to the Middle East/North Africa (MENA) region. We have been effectively serving our MENA clients from our USA offices for the past seven years. However, we realize that our presence on the ground in the region will only further improve client service and increase responsiveness. The Abu Dhabi area remains a strong market,”
said Pat McKelvey, senior principal at RNL, who will be relocating to Abu Dhabi to head up the office.
RNL, the master planner of the Burj Dubai development where the world’s tallest building is currently under construction, is working on a number of projects in the United Arab Emirates, including the Forest of Seih Sdeirah master plan, interior design for a 300-room hotel in Sharjah, and design of a 145-room extension to the Al Raha Beach Hotel in Abu Dhabi.
RNL has also planned and designed projects in Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt, Tunisia and Djibouti. McKelvey will be joining two other RNL employees who are already living and working in the region.
