The Monitoring & Enforcement Department, Licensing Agency at the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), has recently held an educative workshop entitled: The Unified Training Contract for Obtaining Driver License targeting about 20 customers’ service employees at various driving centers and institutes in Dubai. The workshop aimed at supporting the efforts of these staffs and keeping them continuously informed about how to deal with the Driver License Obtaining Guide, and communicate with instructors towards enforcing the rules, achieving the intended objectives, and avoiding or curbing offences made in this regard.
Sultan Al Kutbi, Director of Monitoring & Enforcement at RTA Licensing Agency, said: “The Licensing Agency is constantly seeking to carry out a host of educative workshops for various employees, particularly front-end employees at customers service centers directly engaged with customers; who are at the forefront of our priorities as we seek to respond to their needs & aspirations and achieve highest customers satisfaction rating.”
“The Unified Training Contract for Obtaining Driver License is made between the trainee and the driving center, and has to be presented to trainees in a proper way in a way that ensures executing all the provisions thereof, and avoiding reporting offences against driving centers, besides ensuring that trainees are kept well informed about their rights in this regard,” stated Al Kutbi.
The gathering, which was held in the Head Office of the RTA, included a visual presentation highlighting offences brought against driving centers this year as regards the Unified Training Contract; which have soared by as much as 86% to 22 offences when compared to 2012. A brief account was made about the offences of the provisions of the Contract including: lack of maintaining the required registers, negligence in presenting the service to the trainee, lack of making a contract with the trainee in accordance with the template approved by the Agency, and disrupting the work of the Agency’s supervisors.
The visual presentation also elaborated the underlining factors of offences made by driving institutes and centers with regard to the Unified Training Contract for Obtaining Driver License, gave a full briefing about the details required to be completed in the training contract along with the key points to be noted therein, and explained how to avoid such offences in future.
Al Kutbi reiterated the keenness of the Monitoring & Enforcement Department to hold such awareness workshops aimed at diffusing the culture of communicating with clientele in keeping with a strategic goal of the RTA i.e. Customers Satisfaction.
