H.E. Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has recently honoured 43 male and female employees who spent long years in the service of the Dubai Government and the RTA in recognition of their dedicated efforts and contribution to serve the nation over such extended periods.
The ceremony, which was held in RTA’s auditorium, was attended by a host of CEOs, Directors and staffs of the RTA.
Honourees were decorated in two categories; the first included 35 employees who spent 20-40 years in the service of the Dubai Government, including engineer Maitha bin Udai, CEO of the Traffic & Roads Agency, Abdullah Yousef Al Ali, Acting CEO of Rail Agency, Abdullah Hassan Al Jawi, Director of Internal Audit, Mohammed Abdul Kareem Nimaat, Director of Vehicles Licensing at the Licensing Agency, and Abdul Khaliq Khalil Al Shamsi, Deputy Director of Roads Maintenance. The second category included 8 employees who spent 10-20 years in service including Mohammed Abdul Kareem Mohammed, Deputy Director of Administrative Services, Hashim Al Sayyed Al Hashemi, Deputy Director of Commercial Affairs and Investment, and a host of employees in both categories.
Al Tayer commended the long services delivered by these veterans to the Dubai Government noting that they had witnessed the early days of the sweeping development seen by the Emirate and put in great and commendable efforts which have had immense contribution to many achievements made.
“The RTA is keen on decorating these experts and retain them as they are effective and indispensable for our future drive. The RTA keeps the progression and qualification of employees as a top priority which is enshrined in its strategic goals and objectives i.e. making the RTA the first career choice for qualified human resources. This can be achieved through preparing and implementing comprehensive policies and legislations for human resources for upgrading basic skills, introducing measurements for improving employees capacities, attracting & improving skilled and high-performing Emiratis, improving the work environment and employee services, improving the systems to achieve higher job satisfaction, and developing a sweeping system for establishing a comprehensive system for motivating employees and encouraging them to redouble their efforts and achieving excellence in business,” he said.
Al Tayer called on decorated employees to do more for the development drive and bringing a quantum shift in the infrastructure of the Emirate to keep pace with the sweeping development and contributing to realizing the vision of the Dubai Government.
