“Through launching this promotional offer we aim at increasing the ridership of the Ferry by 5%, thus we are targeting to attract additional 3,936 riders to bring the Ferry ridership by the end of 2014 to 82,647 riders in comparison with last year’s ridership which clocked 78,711 riders,” he noted.
“The RTA is always keen on offering smooth and advanced mass transit services in support of the abundant activities & events hosted by the Emirate of Dubai including tourist marine transit modes such as the Water Taxi and the Dubai Ferry. Our aim is to offer smooth, enjoyable and safe marine transit services that measure up to the significance of the diverse events and activities in the Emirate,” added Khansaheb.
“The RTA is also keen to play a role in all sports, social, economic and other events at the local, regional or international levels held in the Emirate by different entities with a view to raising the profile of the Emirate as a premier tourist, business and service hub in the region and the world over,” continued the Director of Marine Transport.
