The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has participated in the International Quality and Improvement Conference, which is an annual conference addressing and reviewing the best quality practices held by the American Society for Quality in Dallas, Texas.
Shaikha Al Jarman, Director of Development and Corporate Performance at RTA Strategy and Corporate Governance Sector, said, “The conference, which is themed ‘Global Impact of Quality,’ has featured the participation of several entities hailing from all parts of the world in excess of 3,000 participants who came to review the latest developments in the field of quality and the latest standards applicable in this context.”
“The RTA is entitled to participate in this conference by virtue of its distinguished membership in the American Society for Quality, and out of its keenness to enrich its experiences regarding the concept of quality which it adopts as a corporate performance culture. The attendants reviewed the best practices in several areas including creativity in corporate and administrative quality, knowledge management, performance indicators, audits and change management, besides instilling a culture of excellence and quality in institutions, and reviewing the changes to be introduced in quality management (ISO 9001). The attendees also reviewed the mechanisms of decision-making, and risk management, as well as managing relations with suppliers, and the mechanism of participation in the awards organized by the American Society for Quality.”
