A delegation from the Dubai Courts has recently visited the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) to review the best governmental practices adopted by the RTA in strategic planning, in the context of mutual visits methodology adopted by the RTA to share expertise and knowledge with government entities in various fields of relevance to its business domain.
Nasir Bu Shehab, Director of Strategic Planning at the RTA, said, “The RTA has a rich legacy in the field of strategic planning in view of the qualitative objectives we are seeking to realize as part of its contribution to building the future of Dubai, rendering it a focal point for government departments seeking to familiarize with its best practices in this field.”
“At the start of the visit, the delegation watched a visual presentation highlighting the vision, mission, values and the organizational chart of the RTA as well as a general outline of strategic planning, goals & objectives sought, general structure of the Strategic Planning Dep’t, and the jobs tasked to affiliated sections,” he added.
“During the visit the delegation reviewed the best practices in a host of key strategies such as the implementation of the Balanced Scorecard, and the General Outlines for Reviewing & Updating RTA Strategic Plan as well as the e-system dubbed ADAA, which contributes to ensuring the corporate sustainability and appropriate decision-taking,” concluded Bu Shehab.
At the end of the visit, the delegation hailed the meeting and the significant expertise the RTA has developed in the field of strategic planning, adding that it had benefited from the accumulated experience and the best practices reviewed, and concluded by stressing the importance of exchanging knowledge through visits aimed uplifting the corporate government performance of the two parties.
