The meeting, which took place at RTA Head Office, was attended by Abdulla Al Mahra, Director of RTA Monitoring & Enforcement; Rashid bin Lahij Al Falasi, Senior Inspection Manager at JAFZA; and a host of officials from both parties.
“The RTA is always keen on communicating with the concerned entities in Dubai with the aim of exchanging expertise and scientific practices that contribute to enhancing the business processes in a bid to achieve performance excellence,” said Al Mahra. He added: “The Monitoring & Enforcement Dep’t seeks to share knowledge and partner with other entities in boosting its corporate knowledge. In this context this visit is made to consider benchmarking performance in terms of roles & responsibilities in the field of inspection and follow-up of process indicators.
“Benchmarking is a pivotal process in the process of uplifting the caliber of modern government services, and is viewed as an effective tool that hinges on capitalizing on the best practices & applications in various corporate fields, and benchmarking such practices against parallel ones adopted by similar successful organizations. This course of action is bound to bear dividends in terms of exchanging expertise & knowledge, and raising the bar on the performance, deliverables, services and functional practices of human resources. Since inception, the Dep’t has managed to develop appropriate solutions aimed at improving the corporate performance through setting a competent work team in support of the sweeping development drive n place,” continued Al Mahra.
During the meeting a visual presentation was made profiling RTA Monitoring & Enforcement Dep’t, covering process indicators, tasks of the operations team which are particularly oriented towards reviewing the performance indicators, and the mechanism adopted to realize the targets and work plan in keeping with RTA’s strategic goals, and vision of providing Safe & Smooth Transport for All. The delegation was also briefed on the best practices adopted by the Dep’t through the technical inspection centers, and monitoring the performance of institutes & commercial activities besides spotlighting offences of various institutes & centers identified by the Dep’t during the period 2007 – 2012.
The visiting delegation of JAFZA praised the communication with the RTA, indicating that it has a substantial & effective contribution to sharing expertise and uplifting it to the highest standards of excellence in order to bring about a positive outcome capable of leveraging the business processes, particularly through acquainting with the job nature of the Dep’t in same field of monitoring, enforcement and processes in order to adopt the best systems aligned with the highest global standards.
