And Aser Al Baseer, Wafi’s PR and communications manager, says this year’s footfall has risen significantly since the promotions began in June, encouraging more stores to come onboard with large DSS discounts.
“The mall has definitely been busier compared to last year’s DSS and the reports on sales from our retailers have been very positive so far. The success of the promotions has also spurred more Wafi-based stores into participating, with Bugatti, B More, Roberto Cavalli, Etoile La Boutique, Jaeger, Salam and Studio & Stores which includes Escada, all now offering discounts of up to 75%.
“We’re delighted the huge savings are drawing thousands of extra shoppers to Wafi over the summer and the live DSS entertainment so far has provided lots of fun for the whole family. Still to take place is Health and Hygiene, which will run in the mall from July 30 until August 7, 2010 and will include tips from doctors, nutritionists and dieticians, body fat analysis, fitness demonstrations and health check-ups. Participation is free and the stand will also feature competitions and activities to keep children occupied while adults revitalise their health regime.
“There’s an exciting schedule of entertainment planned for the remaining weeks of DSS and we hope many more shoppers will come along to enjoy the fun and take advantage of the impressive discounts on offer.”
With over 350 stores Wafi is the 2008 winner of Best Shopping Mall, Best Restaurant, Best New Hotel, Best Spa and Best Independent Boutique and boasts one of Dubai’s largest souks, world-class shopping and fine dining in the heart of Dubai.
