Wasl, one of the largest asset management companies in Dubai, gifted the centre funding for therapy and treatment equipment that will help assist its youngsters in their daily activities.
As a part of Wasl‘s policy to be also actively involved in its CSR initiatives, representatives from the organisation, led by Ms. Zainab Mohammed, General Manager, Property Management, Marketing and Communication and Chairwoman of the CSR committee at Wasl, visited the centre on September 30th.
The Wasl team was given a guided tour around its facilities. The gift is the latest in Wasl’s extensive corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme, which aims to assist citizens across all strata of society.
“CSR forms a significant component of Wasl’s activities and has done from the day the company started operations. It is a part of our corporate philosophy to engage with the local community and give something back to help improve the lives of others who may not be as fortunate as us,” said Zainab Mohammed. “For this, our most recent CSR initiative, we want to honour the sterling work of The Rashid Paediatric Therapy Centre that does so much for children and young adults with special needs. We hope the donation will assist them in their day-to-day activities,” she added.
“We would like to thank Wasl for the very kind donation made to the Rashid Paediatric Therapy Centre; As a non-profit organisation that aims to help young people overcome disability, funding such as this will make all the difference to enriching the quality of their lives,” said Mrs. Mariam Othman, Director of the Rashid Paediatric Therapy Centre. “This donation will be put towards specialist equipment and towards programmes that integrate those with special challenges into society,” she added.
