Qatar: Sunday, March 08 - 2009 @ 14:22

The Mongolian Barbeque offers Qatar food lovers the unique ‘control your own dining experience’, allowing customers to create their own unique dining event.

Diners choose from succulent meats, fresh seafood or tofu, add crispy vegetables, noodles, rice and a delicious sauce – and then ask the Master Griller to cook their meal – in just 3 minutes right in front of their eyes in The Mongolian Barbeque’s ‘open kitchen’.

In addition to the tastiest stir fry in Qatar, The Mongolian Barbeque menu offers a choice of mouth-watering starters including Beef Teriyaki, Chicken Satay and the perfect-for-sharing Combo Platter.

Add a tasty selection of mocktails, smoothies and fresh juices sure to quench the deepest thirst, and you have the perfect value-for-money meal for families, friends and business diners.

“Wataniya is proud to introduce another great restaurant concept offering greater choice and value to our customers in Qatar,” says Nasser Beydoun, CEO of Wataniya Restaurants. “We know the people of Qatar crave new restaurant cuisine and The Mongolian Barbeque is an exciting, delicious and fun way to enjoy a unique lunch or dinner, seven days a week.”

The Mongolian Barbeque opening times are Saturday to Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Friday 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. In addition to the regular menu, an ‘Unlimited Combo Visit’ as-much-as-you-can-eat offer.

The Mongolian Barbeque offers seating for 65 guests, large enough to cater for the expected demand but small enough to maintain its fashionable, exclusive atmosphere.

The Mongolian Barbeque is owned and operated by Wataniya Restaurants, a wholly-owned Qatari Shareholding Company whose 20 high quality branded restaurant outlets in Qatar include American Grill, Mongolian Barbeque, New York Deli, Pita Fresh, Restaurant 29 and Sbarro. Wataniya plans to open a further 28 restaurants in Qatar during 2009.

“Centuries ago in Mongolia, hunting parties gathered to celebrate after weeks devoted entirely to hunting. The Mongols prepared feasts of meat and vegetables, slicing them with razor sharp swords before searing their food on overturned shields, heated by a blazing fire. It is these ancient traditions we re-create at the world’s most authentic eating experience, The Mongolian Barbeque in Doha,” explains Beydoun.
