WideView the ‘Speakers, Trainers and Consultants Provider’ based in Dubai Knowledge Village aims to train at least 10 local institutes in UAE within the next 12 months. These local institutes will in turn facilitate the training to the end users i.e. entrepreneurs in UAE. Lessons, which include descriptions of practices of successful entrepreneurs, will be delivered through a combination of e-learning, classroom attendance and audiovisual material. Students will have access to Web 2.0 technologies and advanced open-source tools such as Moodle and will also use collaboration technologies such as Cisco WebEx® for a rich learning experience.
Issa Mohammed Al-Anati, Managing Director of WideView, said: “It’s a new concept and a unique approach that aims to help individuals and companies on how to start a business and how to grow their business in this part of the world. We will serve several different business and entrepreneur categories including government, private sector, youth and businesswomen. Besides conducting the in-depth training courses made available to us by Cisco Entrepreneur Institute, we will interview prospective and experienced entrepreneurs and business experts in UAE and share these video clips with our entrepreneur student audience, as well as invite local business experts as workshop advisors and guest speakers so the students can learn about the local business environment and its challenges and opportunities.”
He added: “Through the Institute business workshops, mentoring networks, and technology resources, participants will gain business skills, practical knowledge and expertise tailored for their country’s business environment. At the same time, governments can also reach out to citizens and support new ideas with effective education and start-up processes to help create jobs and enrich the economic environment.”
The institute’s workshops are based on the experiences of successful entrepreneurs, business leaders and leading companies. The institute uses world-class teaching resources, with lesson content derived from sources such as Stanford University, Cornell University and My Own Business Inc., An organization with more than 15 years of experience in supporting the creation of successful businesses.
