Gulf Film is the largest distributor and movie exhibitor in the entire region. Having consistently been at the forefront of cinema entertainment, the firm embarked on a re-branding effort that included an altogether new visual direction and striking new logo by one of Dubai’s leading agencies.
“The key challenge for the team at Xische was to showcase this transformed Gulf Film at the Cannes Film Festival’s coveted Film Market,” explained Danish Farhan, head of Xische Digital in Dubai and New York.
The feature debuted at the French Riviera town of Cannes, where it has met with great success. “Xische’s feature has positioned Gulf Film to accurately reflect the accomplishment of the company’s two decade history. It has been exceptionally well received,” commented Jean Ramia, Director Of Operations at Gulf Film from the star-studded mayhem at the festival.
Deploying a cinematic direction for the 5-minute production, the Xische animation squad conceived an immersive environment that held together the various areas of interest, combing motion-tracking against real-footage along with entirely animated sequences. It also extends Gulf Film’s cinema chain brand, Grand Cinemas, into a compelling and progressive on-screen campaign.
Xische Digital, with its long standing ties to the film industry, is also the Official Animation Partner for the Dubai International Film Festival. The eccentric digital specialists have had a consistent track record of conceptualizing, creating and producing advanced digital experiences for key clients such as Dubai International Film Festival, Harley-Davidson, Dubai Tourism, Harvey Nichols, Skype, Marlboro, Giorgio Armani and Red Bull.
