The e-Government Program supreme Supervisory Committee holds its eighth meeting

The Committee reviewed topics on its agenda, where their Excellencies discussed the first phase most prominent achievements of the e-Government in the Kingdom, the contents of the achievements included the adoption of a set of comprehensive plans for e-Government, the issuance of a number of legislation and guidance supporting the transition to e-Government, the e-Government infrastructure projects completion and the launch of a number of government agencies e-Services.

After the meeting, HE the Minister of Finance Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf assured that the state continues to support the e-Government initiative according to the wise leadership directives, noting that investment in the e-Government initiative achieves huge targets at the economic, social and organizational level. Is addition to facilitating government services to beneficiaries, raising public sector efficiency, facilitating its services and raise the quality, e-Government initiative makes a lot of savings in providing service cost and raises the direct and indirect investment to the community and the state.

Al-Assaf said that the e-Government second phase comes updates to the achievements of the first one and expecting to double the number of e-Services in the Kingdom at this stage.

His Excellency the Minister of Communications and Information Technology pointed that the e-Government Program “Yesser” works to achieve the leadership desire to drive the e-Government transition, through the support of different government agencies that are transforming their business and services to the electronic method. He pointed out that the follower of the e-Government transition in the Kingdom of notices that government agencies got advanced achievements in transforming their business and the launch of their e-Government projects.

The e-Government Program supreme Supervisory Committee also briefed the second action plan features, its vision and components.

Their Excellencies reviewed the program future plans, activating a number of national initiatives in support of the government agencies e-Government transformation, and the meeting addressed the government agencies achievements highlights in the e-Government transition process.
