Zubair Automotive Group backs ABA Fashion show

Oman: Tuesday, February 24 - 2009 @ 11:05

The show, an annual student activity of ABA, was a splendid success from every standpoint. It was an all-student affair– conceived, organized and presented by talented ABA scholars who undertook everything from designing the entrance tickets to arranging for fashion houses and hair salon support, to modeling the fashion garments themselves. In addition, it was an enriching experience for ABA’s international student community to rediscover the vibrant cultures and fashion styles they represent.

However, and perhaps even more important was the noble objective underpinning the entire endeavour: All proceeds from the show were earmarked for the activities of the National Association for Cancer Awareness (NACA), a well-known local charity that provides sterling services in the field of cancer awareness.

For Zubair Automotive Group, sole distributors of Mitsubishi cars in the Sultanate of Oman, the decision to co-sponsor the ABA Fashion Show is in line with the Group’s longstanding tradition of supporting a variety of social, educational and charitable causes.

“Zubair Automotive Group and Mitsubishi specifically, are delighted to have joined a number of like-minded corporate well-wishers in co-sponsoring an event that enhances the overall learning experience for students. We are strongly supportive of activities and programmes that promote academic and extra-curricular achievement and the development of student potential,”

said Lee Luck, Marketing & PR Manager, Zubair Automotive Group.

“Furthermore, the ABA show was not simply a run-of-the-mill school activity but an initiative by students to demonstrate their interest and concern for a greater cause: cancer awareness. Zubair Automotive Group applauds such initiatives and is committed to supporting initiatives that engage students and youth in social and community development issues,” Luck added.

Mitsubishi’s association with the fashion show is simply a reflection of the brand’s intrinsic characteristics: appeal, style and range. Much like the array of fashion styles that were paraded on the ABA catwalk, Mitsubishi too comes in a range of models to suit a variety of purposes – from practical and fashionable to sporty and trusty off-road capability.
