Chi’zen launches in the ‘Du-Jour’ of Dubai Festival City

Offering high-end Cantonese cuisine in a sumptuous setting that overlooks the Marina, it is a must-visit hot spot for locals, expats and tourists.

Chi’Zen’s extensive menu sets the standard for modern, first-class Cantonese cuisine in Dubai. Executive Chef, Lai Ka Wing, invites guests to indulge in favourite well-known dishes including Kung Pao Chicken and Pan-fried beef tenderloin with Hong Kong sauce, and for those with an experimental palate, decadent delicacies such as Rainbow jellyfish, Braised bird’s nest soup and Deep fried boneless chicken wings stuffed with sticky rice are available.

Adding to the frisson of excitement in the Chi’Zen kitchen, two separate specialty rooms are dedicated to the preparation and cooking of Dim Sum and Peking Duck. In each room, two chefs artistically work on the intricate cooking journey required for both dishes. The Dim Sum menu offers delightful steaming parcels of shrimp, bbq chicken and many more fillings, whilst the exclusive Chi’Zen Peking Duck with Chinese pancakes is served in two stages; explained by the exceptional staff on hand.

On entering Chi’Zen, guests are welcomed by a statue warrior believed to fend off unwelcomed bad spirits. Celebrated designer, Rashida Rajkotwalla, uses her trademark ‘disciplined elegance’ to establish oriental opulence throughout the 160-seat restaurant and lounge. Utilizing a colour palette of striking blacks and rich red shades creates a dramatic yet elegant interior. The walls are adorned with over 200 pieces of authentic Chinese art, chosen by art consultant Nimmi Aunger.

With floor-to-ceiling windows, Chi’Zen transcends from a bright contemporary daytime spot to a more seductive and sumptuous retreat in the evening. With the only fully-licensed terrace in Dubai Festival City, Chi’Zen’s outdoor haven is a sought-after spot for guests. As well as breathtaking views of the Marina, up until New Year’s Eve an impressive firework display will take place every Thursday and Friday evening.

Fully licensed Chi’Zen boasts of a sophisticated and sultry bar area where guests can enjoy a pre or post-dinner drink with family, friends or loved ones. The lounge entices guests with mouthwatering cocktails, quality wines and a selection of soft drinks.

Foodmark’s newest venture will be located in the du jour of Dubai Festival City. Foodmark’s other ventures include Carluccio’s, Mango Tree, Ushna, Wild Ginger, and Zafran.
