1st for Rhodes Mezzanine

Rhodes Mezzanine, Grosvenor House’s quintessential modern British restaurant, celebrates its first anniversary this month.

To mark the special occasion Michelin starred celebrity chef Gary Rhodes hosted a glittering champagne reception in the hotel’s stunning flagship restaurant.

Over the course of the last year, Rhodes Mezzanine has firmly placed modern British cuisine back on the international culinary map. A visual master piece, the restaurant infuses a multitude of design influences – baroque style furniture coupled with modern lighting to create a contemporary work of art that dazzles and mesmerizes guests the minute they are swept through the door.

“We opened last year with an aim of challenging some of the traditional perceptions of British cuisine, and so far we have been absolutely thrilled by the response of our diners. Dubai is fast becoming one of the world’s leading culinary hubs and I am proud that Rhodes Mezzanine is playing a significant role in helping raise the bar. Diners are not only embracing some of the traditional classics, but I’m also thrilled to see how popular some of our more adventurous dishes have become.”

The 64-cover Rhodes Mezzanine boasts a sumptuous à la carte menu as well as a delicious tasting menu, perfect for those spoilt-for-choice diners. To start, guests can choose from a delightful selection including; Lobster omelette thermidor or terrine of foie gras and artichokes with a sweet red pepper dressing. The main courses on offer are equally mouth watering; from Roast Loin of Welsh lamb with a tomato and tarragon navarin to Steamed Hallibut with a Cornish crab rissoto. For desert, Rhodes’ legendary Bread and butter pudding is featured alongside Jam roly-poly with strawberry jam sauce and fresh custard, to name but a few.

Located on the Mezzanine level of Grosvenor House hotel, Rhodes Mezzanine is open from 7.30pm to 11.30pm, Monday to Saturday.
