The regional and global digital leader brings the new 53-inch PT- 53A80T to market in time for the world’s greatest football competition.
“The tournament is estimated to attract a total television audience of 33 billion, and what better way to watch it than with a 53” projection screen with detachable surround sound speakers?” said Mr. S. S. Lee, Digital Display Products Manager, LG Electronics Gulf FZE (LGEGF).
“Viewers can change the location of the speakers whatever their preference or surroundings.”
The PT- 53A80T also benefits from multi-stereo technology.
“With the adoption of a stereo amplifier, viewers can enjoy advanced digital stereo surround sound equivalent to that of a compact disk.”
The PT-53A80T features a multi-window PIP (picture-in-picture) function that displays 12 preview images surrounding a central main picture.
“Viewers can use the multi-window PIP feature to speedily and easily search channels being broadcast. This function displays the main channel in the centre surrounded by 12 sub-channels broadcasting simultaneously in smaller windows with programme indicators,” said Lee. “Viewers simply change to a channel they like the look of by pressing the corresponding number on the remote control.”
Crisp, life-like images are maintained through LG’s Digital Comb Filter technology that streamlines signals and clears ‘noise’. In addition, LG’s Digital Eye technology helps to counter ambient light.
“Whatever the action on the screen, images are sharp, focussed and easy to see on LG’s new 53” screen,” said Lee. “LG’s revolutionary Digital Eye technology analyses the lighting environment and ensures the screen constantly displays bright, clear images.”
“The Digital Eye system automatically adjusts brightness and contrast on the screen in response to ambient light, enhancing clarity and quality of picture. This works in tandem with LG’s ‘flicker-free’ system to provided unprecedented viewing pleasure.”
