In the Islamic calendar, Shaban is the most important month preceding the Holy month of Ramadan and the 15th of Shaban is a tradition observed throughout the region.
Students from the Qubaa Centre for Culture and Islamic Sciences performed traditional dances and songs on the occasion while women who study at the Centre prepared traditional recipes from the heart of UAE, including luqaymat dumplings, khameer bread, nakhi, bajella, and loobiya, that were distributed to mall visitors for free.
Jassim Al Khaja, General Manager at Ajman City Centre, said, “The community is always an integral part of Ajman City Centre activities and we are proud to celebrate this important day. The excitement from the celebrations radiated throughout the Centre while our visitors had the opportunity to relish a taste of the traditional delicacies.”
