United Arab Emirates: Thursday, July 27 - 2006 @ 10:58

The twelve new stores that form a core part of this fashion ‘precinct’ will be launched in the first week of September.

Deira City Centre’s exclusive fashion precinct includes international fashion houses like Cool Cat, AIZone, Bershka, Stradivarius, Phat Farm, Pepe Jeans, Club Monaco, Pull and Bear, Women’ Secret and Lucky Jeans.

David Robinson, Vice President, Development/Asset Management, said, “The retail landscape in the region has been growing at an amazing pace. The focus on fashion is part of Deira City Centre’s growth strategy to provide customers with high-street fashion at competitive prices.”

“We believe the fashion precinct will become a trendsetter for Deira City Centre’s style-conscious consumer. Our offering will range from young casuals to formal wear that will target men, women and children, ensuring we have something for everyone.”

“The new fashion precinct will also house Pulp Juice Bar, offering a variety of smoothies and juices and the French patisserie – Paul Café that will allow shoppers to sit back and re-energise themselves while they shop,” added Robinson.

Tony Salame, Chief Executive Officer of Aizone said, “We decided to open in Deira City Centre as it is one of the malls with the highest footfall in Dubai; also, the renovation plans seemed attractive to us. Based on our past experience with the Majid Al Futtaim Group, we are looking at replicating this experience in DCC. We are confident that we can create a unique shopping experience for the visitors of the fashion precinct in DCC.”

“We believe that Deira City Centre’s Management has great experience in retail, it is one of the best shopping centers in this region, we have witnessed its success. This is the main reason which drove us to be part of DCC,” said Wassim Daher, Chairman & CEO of Azal. “Our partnership with Deira City Centre is a long term partnership based on mutual respect and bilateral professional relations. We are proud to be a small part of DCC.”

Deira City Centre is currently undergoing an AED 250 million refurbishment project that will include an upgrade of facilities, new stores, revamped Food Court and a brand new Magic Planet.
