Access MBA Tour arrives in the Middle East

United Arab Emirates: Monday, April 12 - 2010 @ 16:29

The tour has already visited Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Qatar, and now moves on to Kuwait City (April 14th), Cairo (April 17th), Amman (April 19th) and Beirut (April 21st) – details online at www.accessmba.com. The School will also meet prospective MBA candidates at special 1-2-1 sessions during the events.

MBS, through the Middle East International Executive Centre in Dubai, already coordinates more than 700 MBA students in the region (around 50% of whom are resident in UAE). January 2010 (the school has two intakes each year) was the largest single intake of students since the school opened in Dubai in 2006. Of the new students, over 50% are resident in the UAE (90% resident in the GCC) and almost 50% are nationals of Middle Eastern countries. 12% of the new students are business women and the majority are in their 30s.

MBS offers four part time executive Global MBA programmes, designed for experienced businesspeople. Students can choose from three different specialist MBA learning pathways – engineering, construction and finance (with an accelerated route professionally qualified accountants) in addition to the Global MBA General, which brings together general management elements with a focus on leadership, innovation and internationalism. All the programmes are delivered through a format which guarantees at least 250 hours of face to face workshops with Manchester faculty, conveniently hosted in Dubai.

Randa Bessiso, Director Middle East at Manchester Business School,
comments: “The Access MBA Tour is a great way for us to meet prospective students and the 1-2-1 sessions are personal, private meetings with the admissions director, which allows more time for serious discussions with potential students, who want to look at the school and the programmes on offer in more detail.”

The Middle East International Executive Centre became the largest in Manchester Business School’s international network following a record student intake, in July 2009. The international network consists of eight executive centres outside the UK – US (Miami), Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai, Malaysia, Caribbean, Brazil, Middle East.
