Manchester Business School introduces new 2.5 years part time Global MBA programme option in Middle East

Manchester Business School, one of the world’s leading business schools with a global network of centres around the world including Dubai Knowledge Village, is recruiting for a new, more intensive part time MBA programme which allows students to obtain their Global MBA in two years plus a six-month project – a total of 30 months or ‘2Years+Project’.

The new more intensive study option has been introduced to allow working professionals greater flexibility to complete their part time Global MBA programmes quicker and apply the benefits in the workplace to enhance their careers faster. MBS already supports more than 1,500 part time Global MBA students in the Middle East.

The new MBS ‘2Years+Project’ MBA option will be available from the January 2014 semester . MBS is also offering a special ‘early bird’ rate on tuition fees for students submitting applications before 31st October 2013 for the January 2014 MBA intake.

In order to create the new ‘2Years+Project’ format, MBS has reviewed the delivery of the part time programme content and created a more efficient academic schedule and balance of blended learning, ensuring that the critically important face to face contact time is maintained a minimum of 250 hours guaranteed per student over the course of the programme. The school is also providing more real time online tutorials, introducing new elective courses and has amended the student assessment process.

Professor Elaine Ferneley, MBA Programme Director responsible for full time and part time programmes at Manchester Business School, comments, “At Manchester Business School, we have always offered as much flexibility as possible to our part time students who have to fit their MBA studies into busy working lives. We have always supported exceptional students in accelerating their studies but this new 2Years+Project format opens up the option to all our students, although it is a very demanding choice. Our MBA programme is generally longer than those offered by other schools and we strongly believe this reflects the rigour of our programme, which is why the Manchester Global MBA is recognised worldwide for its quality and we will make no compromise in this rigour.”

“This means that the shorter, more intensive route to the Global MBA will be very challenging but we know that many of our students around the world will welcome the option,” Added Professor Ferneley.

MBS is one of a handful of elite schools worldwide whose MBA programmes have triple accreditation from AMBA, EQUIS and AACSB.

Randa Bessiso, Middle East Director at Manchester Business School, adds, “This new Global MBA option is a real innovation that will attract students looking for a shorter, more intense learning experience, whilst still offering the same programme content, face to face contact time and quality of experience. Students still have the flexibility to extend the programme duration because of other demands made on their time by their work and other life events. We know that many of our new students will be interested in this option and we believe it will help us continue to grow our student base in the Middle East, which is already the largest and fastest growing in the MBS international network.”
