The new policy includes guest rooms, meeting rooms and employee work areas. Currently more than 52 percent of Doha Marriott’s guest rooms are already non-smoking and smoking is prohibited in many public spaces. Demand for non-smoking rooms continues to rise.
This healthy initiative was introduced by Joe Batshon, General Manager of the Doha Marriott Hotel who conducted research amongst hotel guests and found that 50% requested non smoking rooms when traveling.
“No other hotel in Doha is taking the non smoking policy to the breadth that we’re doing, we are committed to providing a comfortable, clean and healthy environment for our guests.” said Joe Batshon General Manager of the Doha Marriott. “Our guest survey reports lead us to believe that the overwhelming majority of our guests will welcome this as a positive step forward.” Our mission is to continuously offer an array of unique products, services and personal touches that will make our guests feel better than they did when they arrived. “From our plush new revive Bedding to our smoke free policy our goal is to find innovative and exciting ways to meet and exceed our guests’ expectations.”
