The proceeds, an estimated 60000 AED will be donated to the Al Noor Training Centre for children with special needs.
Since its inception in 2004, the Marriott Spirit to Serve Charity golf tournament has raised around 45000 AED for the Al Noor Training Center. Participants from across Dubai this year have the opportunity to experience the heart-warming joy of a community joined together working towards enabling special children’s dreams to come true, in addition to having a very rewarding and enjoyable day.
The tournament this year promises to be even more exciting, being a Parent / Child – 9 hole Par III tournament with lots of activities happening. The all-day family and fun event sees adults and kids play side by side in teams of two. Players will be competing in two categories; one score for children and one team score. Exciting prizes are to be won throughout the day including the raffle with the top prize being a flight with Etihad Airways with a stay in a Marriott hotel.
“Gaining support and participation from the communities we reside in is crucial to our success,” said Francisco Giles, Chairman of the Marriott Business Council and General Manager of the Renaissance Dubai Hotel. “Events like this enable us to not only support the cause, but also to give back to the community through the Marriott Spirit to Serve culture that lives within all our associates.”
The Marriott Business Council, Dubai includes the JW Marriott Dubai, Renaissance Dubai Hotel, Marriott Executive Apartments and Courtyard by Marriott Green Community. The Spirit to Serve Our Communities is part of Marriott International’s worldwide community outreach initiative where more than 133,000 employees from over 2,700 locations in 65 countries can volunteer for activities that give back to their communities and help make them better places to live and work.
