Maxtor and Tech Data step up collaboration in the region

This agreement comes on the back of a record sales growth for Maxtor by Tech Data in the US and Europe, and aims at adding value to the channel by focusing on margins and the supply chain.

“What we need today is a partner that helps us sustain our regional leadership, and Tech Data is in a very good position to help us achieve that, through its extensive channel as well as its knowledge of the market,” said Mr. Cagatay Kilic, Maxtor’s sales manager for the Middle East and Turkey, “The aim behind this partnership is to ensure the supply and delivery of Maxtor products to our resellers in the fastest and most cost effective way, through Tech Data’s leading logistics management capabilities”

Dhruv Srivastava, components business unit manager at Tech Data said that, with Maxtor hard drives now on board, Tech Data confirms its ability to present unmatched opportunities to help the channel meet its end-user needs. “Having Maxtor on board affirms Tech Data’s unique position in the market in offering the broadest range of brands as well as our capability to offer bundling programs that deliver the best margin for resellers and value proposition for their customers.” Tech Data, according to Srivastava plans to also offer the assembly market new value through bundling programs that have been devised specifically for the high end server market.
