The Technical and Vocational Training Corporation signed a memorandum of understanding with both Mobily and Microsoft Arabia in its headquarters in Riyadh, in the context of raising the level of using technology in the educational process in the TVTC colleges and in pursuit to enhance productivity levels and prepare all students in a better qualified way for the labor market.
The Agreement was signed by Dr. Ali Bin Nasser Al-Ghafis, The Governor of TVTC, Engineer Khalid Bin Omar Al Kaf, MD and CEO of Mobily and Microsoft Arabia’s president Samir Ben Mohamed Noman.
On this occasion, The Governor, Dr. Ali AL-Ghafis explained, “The signing of this agreement comes in belief in the role of the technological development in enriching the training process, and this coincides with the efforts made by the TVTC in the development of national human resources in cooperation with the relevant authorities of both public and private sectors.”
Dr. Al-Ghafis added, “The institution is seeking to equip all training units with the modern technological equipment in line with the latest technical means that would qualify the trainee to be commensurate with the developments in the labor market, which is basically depends upon technology. TVTC seeks to provide training programs with a high level of quality and have the latest technical aspects.”
Engineer Al Kaf expressed his pleasure with the existing cooperation between Mobily and TVTC which will contribute to the enhancement of the educational process for students in light of the great attention directed to the educational sector by the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. Engineer Al Kaf noted, “Technology is becoming today a part of the educational process, and it is no longer a luxury as it has shortened the time and effort and provided all necessary tools for both student and teacher at any time and place.”
Engineer Al Kaf confirmed, “Mobily will spare no effort in order to strengthen this cooperation and harness all resources to reach the noble goal of graduating capable students to deal with technology in the achievement in their work and shape a better future for them. It is worth mentioning that through this cooperation, tablet computers will be provided for the trainees with productivity applications (Microsoft Office and other educational applications programs and applications) on the devices to be used in the enrichment of the training process and upgrade the level of productivity, and preparing all students in a better qualified way for the labor market.”
