Soliman Fakeeh Hospital has held training for more than 60 students from nine different prominent Saudi medical universities in patient care, Arab News reported. The hospital helped students from King Abdulaziz University (KAU), King Saud University (KSU), the Ibn Sina College and Batterjee Medical College (BMC) in Jeddah, Taibah University in Madinah, Umm Al-Qura University in Makkah and institutions in Jazan, Al-Baha and Taif acquire first-hand knowledge on how to care for patients upon completing their education. “Such training programs are vital in helping students get ready for the working world,” said Mazen Fakeeh, chairman of the board at Soliman Fakeeh and a consultant in internal medicine and diabetes. “This training is inclusive and integrated, instilling confidence in young and budding doctors on how to deal with patients, diagnose their cases and provide treatment,” he said. “The program lasted three weeks and will make a significant difference to quality in public and private health care institutions.”
