Egypt reports 81% drop in natural gas exports in April

According to a report by Egypt’s state-run Information and Decision Support Centre, the country’s natural gas exports dropped 80.94% in April from a year earlier, as gas promised for export was diverted to meet a domestic energy crisis, Reuters has reported. Gas production also fell 14.66% in April compared with the same month a year ago, said the report. The value of exports was valued at just $30.5% in April, down from $160m in the previous year, it said.
