Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) has hosted meeting to identify a clear roadmap to drive the usage of the environment-friendly ‘Green Diesel’, Zawya reported. Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) joined hands with governmental stakeholders to implement the UAE Federal Cabinet decision no. 37 of 2013, on making the use of the environment-friendly ‘Green Diesel’ mandatory across the UAE. A stakeholder meeting led by ENOC Industrial Products Marketing (EIPM) at ENOC Headquarters was attended by representatives of Emirates Authority for Standardisation & Metrology (ESMA), Dubai Department of Economic Development (DED), Dubai Civil Defence, Dubai Municipality and Emarat. The meeting resolved to promote awareness on the importance of the new greener fuel standards. The stakeholders emphasised the need to take concerted action to ensure the security of supply and usage of the new ‘Ultra-low Sulphur Diesel,’ which is more environment-friendly and helps in reducing toxic vehicle exhaust emissions.
