Iraq on track for record crude exports through southern terminals in April

: Sunday, April 27 - 2014 @ 00:45

Iraq’s oil exports from the country’s southern terminals are on track to reach a record high in April, reflecting Iraq’s efforts to expand capacity and deliver supply growth in 2014, Reuters has reported, citing loading data and industry sources. Exports from Iraq’s southern terminals have averaged 2.55 million barrels per day (bpd) in the first 23 days of April, the data showed. However, shipments of Kirkuk crude from northern Iraq remain offline since a bomb blast first halted the oil flow along the pipeline on March 2, industry sources said, keeping Iraqi exports overall below their potential.
