Kuwait Oil Co (KOC) has awarded contracts, worth KD662m ($2.342bn), to build three collection centres to increase oil production in the northern fields from 700,000 million barrels daily at present to one million barrels over the coming years, Kuna has reported. the first contract, worth KD194m, went to Petrofac for the construction of collection centre 29. A second contract, worth about KD240m, was signed with Larsen and Toubro to build collection centre 30. Dodsal won the third contract to set up collection centre 31, a project worth KD 228m, KOC said.
