Hilal Al-Kharusi, Vice President of Emerging Businesses, at OOC, said, “We recognise the challenges associated with climate change, therefore, we joined the celebrations to extend our support to this cause that unifies people nationwide for a better tomorrow for their children and the whole world. OOC and its group of companies are committed to conserving energy and reducing Greenhouse Gas (GHGs) emissions across all operations. We will continue to take a responsible stance with global practices towards a sustainable future with minimal effects on the environment.”
The Earth Hour is an annual global event that started in 2007 in Australia. Millions of people turn off their lights for Earth Hour at 8:30pm (20:30) in their local times on the last Saturday of March to raise awareness on the need for climate change action.
