Cleantech Oman International Forum and Awards will be held on 9 – 10 June 2014 at Grand Hyatt Muscat. Omran has signed up as a Main Sponsor at Cleantech. This forum is designed to help raise awareness, measure current situation, learn and discuss about adapting clean technology and ways in which we can manage our governments and businesses, while minimizing the effects on the environment.
Cleantech is Oman’s first clean technology forum and aims to focus on clean technology in the field of Energy, Oil & Gas, Environment Solutions, Water, Waste Water, Manufacturing, Healthcare, ICT & Telecom, Transport, Infrastructure and Disaster prevention and management.
Omran is mandated by the Government of Oman to deliver major projects and manage tourism assets and investments. This is in line with the Government’s vision of positioning tourism as a major economic driver of the future and as a generator of employment.
In developing these projects, sustainable development is of paramount importance, as the company has recently been awarded with internationally acclaimed certifications after passing its second Integrated Management System (IMS) Audit conducted by Germany’s TUV SUD, a global provider of testing and certification services. By effectively integrating three previously certified systems under one integrated platform, Omran’s IMS achieved ISO 9001:2008 for Quality Management System, ISO 14001:2004 for Environmental Management System and OHSAS 18001:2007 for Occupational Health and Safety Management System. In Addition, Omran adopts Responsible Tourism standards across its various projects and have seven developments in its portfolio that are in the process of achieving LEED accreditation.
