OPEC expects further growth in global oil demand next year

: Saturday, July 12 - 2014 @ 00:14

The Organisation for Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) has said that global oil demand is due to increase further in 2015, thanks in part to resurgent growth in developed countries, AFP has reported. OPEC, which pumps a third of the world’s crude, predicted demand would top 92.35 million barrels per day (mbpd), up 1.33% from 2014. The bulk of the demand will come as per usual from non-OECD countries however, especially China and the Middle East, OPEC said in its monthly report.
