Qatargas participates in World Petroleum Congress in Moscow

Qatargas is attending the 21st World Petroleum Congress being held from 15 – 19 June 2014 in Moscow. The theme of this year’s event is ‘Responsibly Energizing a Growing World’.

Held every three years, the World Petroleum Congress and Exhibition is one of the largest and most reputable oil and gas industry gatherings in the world. Nearly 3,000 delegates including ministers and CEOs and heads of organizations from more than 80 countries are attending the event.

Key decision makers from around the world will address recent industry and geo-political developments and assess how global energy supply and demand will develop in current and future markets. The programme will address upstream and downstream issues, natural gas transportation and marketing and the sustainable management of the industry.

The Qatargas delegation attending the Congress comprises representatives from across the organization. Delegates will be able to use this opportunity to attend conference sessions covering a wide spectrum of topics in the energy sector as well as network with industry peers.

Qatargas has a prominent presence at the exhibition being held in parallel with the conference. The Qatargas booth showcases the Company’s achievements in the production and delivery of LNG. Qatargas delegates manning the stand will provide visitors with information on various aspects of the Company’s business.

Qatargas is also presenting two posters at the conference. Stephanie Aqui, Senior Commercial Analyst and Bayan Taha, Commercial Analyst, are presenting a poster on ‘Meeting the Growing Demand for Gas from Asia – Implications for Supply and Transportation’. The poster will highlight how Qatargas’ unique value position, as a reliable long-term supplier of clean energy with volumes available today, will allow it to continue to meet global, and Asian energy needs for many decades.

Another poster titled ‘Branding Qatargas Through Our Liaison Offices, a Tool for Successful Business Cooperation’ by Kuncheria George, Commercial Analyst, examines the Buyer-seller partnerships and analyzes the experiences with liaison offices in Japan, China, USA and Thailand.
