Three Kuwaiti projects to go public

Kuwait’s Partnerships Technical Bureau (PTB) has announced three mega ventures are to be offered for public subscription, in which Kuwaiti citizens will have 50% of the shares by the end of 2014, Kuna has reported. The three ventures are a solar energy station, North Al-Zour power plant (second phase), and the largest solid waste recycling plant in the Middle East, said PTB president, Adel Al-Roumi. The projects will be up for subscription by foreign entrepreneurs at a maximum 40%, according to the partnership law of the public and private sectors, 50% for the nationals, and 10% for government bodies, he said.
