Two Omani IPPs to float IPOs next May

Oman’s market regulator has said two independent power producers in the country are planning to float initial public offerings with a combined issue size of around OR50m in May 2014, Times of Oman has reported. The share offer by Al Suwaidi Power and Al Batinah Power is open for both Omanis and expatriates, said CMA executive president, Abdullah bin Salem al Salmi. The stakeholders of the two firms are offering 35% each of their holding in line with the government stipulation for offering shares to investing public after few years of operation.
