: Sunday, June 08 - 2014 @ 13:07

Paladion, a leading global specialist in Information Risk Management and Middle East’s only Gartner rated Managed Security provider, will showcase next generation risk analytics solution live hack sessions at Gulf Information Security Expo & Conference (GISEC) every day from June 9-11, 2014, in association with strategic partner HP.

18 informative sessions will take place at the Paladion and HP booth including sessions on RisqVU Risk Analytics, RisqVU IT GRC and demonstration of latest attack vectors researched at Paladion Labs. The live hack sessions are reconstructed by Paladion Labs at booth # SM-A60. The concept hacks planned for demonstration at GISEC relate to concealing text and files by wrapping around VOIP protocol and how an innocent looking ‘Internet of Things’ device can open the doors to the kingdom.

According to the PricewaterhouseCoopers’ (PwC) 2014 Global Economic Crime Survey, cybercrime is the second most reported economic crime in the Middle East. Paladion has a host of solutions for organisations to defend themselves from cyber-attacks which the company will showcase for visitors to their stand.

This year Paladion is the “Award Lead Sponsor” at GISEC.

Firosh Ummer, COO, Paladion Middle East, said: “Being a thought leader in the Information Risk Management space and the only Gartner rated company in the Middle East, Paladion is privileged to be associated with GISEC which is Middle East’s most anticipated IT security knowledge platform. We choose to be a part of this prestigious event as the Lead Award Sponsor as we are committed to recognising excellence in Information Security in the region.”

Ummer will also speak at the GISEC “Security Sessions” on using analytics for Risk Insight and Risk Decisions to defend businesses from cyber-attacks. His session is scheduled for June 10th from 3:00pm – 3:30pm at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

“Cyber-attacks have mostly targeted the banking sector, including ATM and internet banking applications in the UAE last year, and to overcome such attacks Paladion has developed innovative solutions. GISEC is the best platform to showcase our capabilities in the Information Risk Management space” says Mr. Rohit Kumar, President & Global Head – Sales & Marketing, Paladion.

Gulf Information Security Expo and Conference (GISEC) is the Middle East’s most anticipated IT security knowledge platform for 2014. The event features a three-day exhibition from 9-11 June and a two-day conference from 10-11 June at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
