The KWN programme is a global initiative by Panasonic to develop students’ self-confidence, creativity, communication skills, and teamwork through the use of digital video technology. This year the theme of the competition was ‘Environment’ and ‘Communication’.
‘Don’t Close the Door’ was the title of the winning video from Al Manar Model School and ‘Silence has Never Been So Loud’ was the winning title from the students of Brummana High School.
“The creativity of the students is clearly evident as more and more schools continue to take part in Panasonic’s KWN programme. Judging by the quality and topics selected as seen in the videos submitted we are succeeding in helping the students embrace new methods of communication and technologies to make them more aware of the environment they live in. KWN is a fantastic tool to motivate students,” said Anthony Peter, Director, Direct Communications & Customer Care (DCCC) Group.
“The KWN programme allows students the opportunity to really think about the environment they live in, and how they can act to highlight issues important to them. We congratulate all the winners and participants on their achievements this year,” added Peter.
KWN is a hands-on video education programme where Panasonic provides video cameras and other audio visual equipment for video production. Launched in 1989, today over 718 schools worldwide participate in the event in over 31 countries internationally allowing students to share the world through their eyes.
