“This year, The Knowledge Mine, is partaking under the umbrella of the National Business Centre (NBC), which is the first of its kind in Oman and is considered to be a milestone for entrepreneurs in Oman since the centre acts as a premier platform for developing and supporting Omani entrepreneurs,” Al Hinai said, adding, “TKM-based companies, which are taking part in Comex 2013, comprise those specialised in the fields of graphic designs, 2D and 3D designs in addition to companies operating in the field of telecommunications services. It is worth mentioning that the first local company that offers cloud computing solutions in the region is participating in Comex under the umbrella of TKM.”
TKM-based companies stressed the importance of their presence in Comex 2013 for the added value it offers to attract business and keeping in pace with latest trends in the ICT sector. Ghalib Al Abri, CEO of Rafed Communication Tech LLC, remarked, “Our participation in Comex this year aims at showcasing our latest services and products, and developing partnerships with other organisations, besides identifying the needs of government and private institutions to advise possible brand-new solutions.” When asked about the role played by TKM in advancing startups, Al Abri had this to say, “The Knowledge Mine provides an enabling and encouraging environment for the flourishing and expansion of startups.
