Sheikh Sultan confirmed in a word for the press that ‘Al Ain Aerobatic Show’ has become an annual international sport tradition and a landmark of Al Ain City, especially that the air shows to be held in it are the only ones which are held at this time of the year, because of the inappropriate weather conditions in the other spots of the world which usually host this kind of show. So, at this winter time the whole world will be looking at the Middle East and the UAE in particular to enjoy the best and most thrilling air shows performed by top pilots and teams from all over the world.

“The new round of ‘Al Ain Aerobatic Show’ will be more distinguished as it will bring together more participants and visitors and an amazing variety of exciting air shows which will go beyond expectations. New teams will participate for the first time from USA, Canada, South Africa, Japan and New Zealand, in addition to hundreds of special solo participants from the various continents, and the UAE Air Force will also be strongly in competition.” Sheikh Sultan added

He also thanked all sponsors and supporters of the event who have been great assistants to the Higher Organizing Committee, noting that the new round of the show has had 19 local and international sponsors willing to contribute to highlighting the national activities and boosting the civilized image of Abu Dhabi Emirate and the UAE. In return, sponsors get a lot of promotional benefits from such a big worldwide reputed event.

His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoon revealed some of this round’s activities, such as the night air shows which will be performed for the first time in the Middle East. Gliders and propeller aircraft will perform the night flight and fireworks show which will dazzlingly illuminate the sky of Al Ain City. Free fly champions also will make the largest free fly formation in the sky of the United Arab Emirates, as the World Free Fly Team will try to break the Guinness world record (42 people) and have a new one involving 70 – 80 free flyers in one very large formation.

He also confirmed that media coverage will be very extensive as a mark of the success of the event and the regional and international advertising campaigns, and out of the firm belief in the major role of the press in introducing the show to the whole world. Many international media have already started to cover the event, and the success of media coverage besides the information available on the official website of the show have contributed to attracting tourists from all over the world. Many tourist groups, especially from USA, Japan, UK and South Africa, have expressed their interest in visiting Al Ain City and enjoying the show.

“In order to attract thousands of visitors and activate the local family tourism in Al Ain City, we are working hard on making the show a festival for all family members, especially that it concurs with Al Adha Holiday. Cultural, social and heritage-related activities suiting all interests will be organized, such as the heritage village that reflects the beautiful details of our ancestors’ life, local and international art exhibitions, family and kids area with all necessary services and recreational facility. Flight lovers will also have the opportunity to see various aircraft closely on the ground and take photos and feel the desire to practice this unique sport, which will expand its popularity.
