Harris Broadcast, a market share leader of content management and network infrastructure solutions serving the global broadcast, communication service provider, government and enterprise markets, announced that it will demonstrate its complete integrated portfolio of end-to-end solutions at CABSAT 2014 taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre, United Arab Emirates, March 11-13, 2014. This will also be the first global demonstration of Selenio Next, Harris Broadcast’s all-in-one TV Everywhere solution designed to optimize space-, power- and cost-efficiency in multiscreen environments.
Visitors to the Harris Broadcast stand will experience real-world, end-to-end media workflows that enable the delivery of revenue-generating content however and wherever viewers are consuming media — from digital terrestrial television (DTT) over fixed and mobile devices to next-generation TV Everywhere applications.
“2013 has seen our business grow significantly in the region, culminating with our DTT solutions enabling the first countrywide DVB-T2 deployment in Kuwait,” said Mathias Eckert, vice president Europe, Middle East and Africa for Harris Broadcast. “We look forward to CABSAT as the leading event for collaborating with regional thought leaders and decision makers, and will be demonstrating end-to-end solutions that ensure workflow efficiency and profitability as they continue creating momentum in the market,” he added.
The following solutions will be showcased at Hall 7, Stand C7-10:
Media: With opportunities for media companies to monetize content across multiple platforms, Harris Broadcast’s Landmark portfolio of media software unifies multiscreen, nonlinear and targeted advertising services, enabling operators to minimize costs and maximize return by better-managing every aspect of their advertising sales, media planning and scheduling.
Playout: Harris Broadcast’s Nexio and Versio playout solutions – encompassing automation, asset management, video servers and integrated playout — allow broadcasters to efficiently manage the entire content lifecycle and easily repurpose file-based or live content for multiplatform distribution. Media operations can cost-effectively launch new channels, while maintaining primary revenue streams, and easily upgrade with no costly hardware replacement.
Networking: To support seamless, high-quality workflows in today’s hybrid environments, Harris Broadcast’s networking solutions enable media organizations to cost-effectively route, monitor, convert, analyze and control a multitude of signal types, from SD to HD to IP. Key demonstrations include the Selenio Next dense transcoder, which provides up to 10 times the density and power efficiency of competing products — enabling media operations to replace an entire headend of video processing in a single platform.
Transmission: Also on display, Harris Broadcast’s wide range of solid-state transmitters make it easy for television, radio and multimedia broadcasters to deploy highly efficient transmission networks and deliver quality content to media consumers anywhere in the world. When combined with the Selenio media convergence platform, these best-in-class transmitters deliver a fully integrated, end-to-end DTT solution that enables broadcasters to quickly and cost-effectively get on air with revenue-generating DVB-T2 services.
Harris Broadcast will be holding a press briefing to outline the latest company news and product introductions at CABSAT 2014 on Tuesday 11, March 2014 at 13:30hr on its booth C7-10, Hall 7.
